The most common used is when a tenant, friend or family member has been found a deceased in their home or apartment for an extended period of time. Along with finding the decedent, family and first responders may encounter the remnants of body fluids, filth and possibly a mild to extreme odor due to natural decomposition. Not only do friends and family have to deal with the grief and shock that accompanies death, they have many other feelings and emotions to work through. Many families are unaware that the process of cleaning unattended death is often covered by property insurance.
